Our first Cirque show was Quidam, in Cincinnati in September 2006.

We arrived in plenty of time... Certainly didn't want to get stuck in traffic, plus! We had Tapis Rouge tickets (like we did in Cincinnati). No crowds, just the familiar Cirque blue and yellow tents.
The Tapis Rogue ("Red Carpet") tent opens an hour before the show so we were ready! Exotic foods and drinks in an enchanting tent, away from the crowds as they arrive for the show. Ah, what a way to start. :-)
As described by Cirque du Soleil, "Corteo is a grand procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. Juxtaposing the large with the small, the ridiculous with the tragic and the magic of perfection with the charm of imperfection, the show highlights the strength and fragility of the clown, as well as his wisdom and kindness, to illustrate the portion of humanity that is in each of us."

Columbus is only about an hour and a half away, so A'Lona and I easily made the trip for a Sunday Matinee. And being the second Cirque du Soleil show we had seen at that time, 90 miles was a short way to go.
